Renishaw presents its latest solution for the adjustment of tools, of great strength and reliability, for applications of turning and machining multitasking
Renishaw, an international engineering company, will present the new APCA-45 tool adjustment probe. Designed specifically for the most hostile machining environments, such as turning centers and multi-tasking machines, the APCA-45 probe is a robust, reliable and automatic solution for the adjustment of a wide range of tools, for example lathes, grooves, threading machines and boring machines.
Due to the increasing demand for productivity in CNC machines, automatic intelligent process control is essential for modern manufacturers. The automation of tasks such as setting tools and detecting broken tools reduces the need for manual intervention and increases the uptime of the machine.
The new APCA-45 tool adjustment probe allows the implementation of automatic tool measurement in multi-tasking and machining applications. The measurements are used for the initial tool setting and the control of replacement, wear, breakage and thermal expansion of tools. A series of innovative design features, such as the pneumatic probe protection cover, the compact stainless steel housing, the integrated air bleeder and the optional air blowing for tool cleaning, ensure that the APCA-45 probe is built for resist the most hostile machining environments.
